This policy applies to all information collected or submitted on Lookmark’s website and our apps for any devices and platforms (hereinafter collectively called "Lookmark").
By installing our mobile application or in other way using or accessing Lookmark, you accept the terms and conditions of this privacy policy and the processing of your personal data.
Information we collect
When you create an account, we collect your first and last name, email address and password.
We will never willingly share your account information with anyone. Your account information is used for:
- Logging in.
- Resetting your password in case you loose it.
- Sending you important information regarding your account.
- Sending you occasional newsletters that you will be able to unsubscribe to.
All content saved by you to Lookmark is stored on our servers so it can be synced between all devices where you use Lookmark.
We collect statistics about how our users use Lookmark. That information will make it possible for us to improve Lookmark, but will never be shared with anyone in a way that reveals your identity.
If you enable push notifications, your device gives us a token that we store on our servers to be able to send them. Push notifications are never used for marketing purposes.
We use cookies on the site and similar tokens in the app to keep you logged in.
Information usage
We use the information we collect to operate and improve Lookmark. We do not share your information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to accomplish Lookmark's functionality.
We may use anonymous and aggregate information to improve Lookmark for users, and to share with outside parties like app developers and publishers.
We may disclose your information in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or to defend against legal claims.
We may disclose your information when we believe it necessary or desirable in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of our policies, and/or to protect our rights and property.
In the future, we may sell, buy, merge, or partner with other companies or businesses. In such transactions, user information may be among the transferred assets.
External services
Lookmark uses external services for things like data storage, syncing, crash reporting, and analytics.
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that all integrated external services are trustworthy and reputable. However, we cannot be held responsible for data collection and usage by such services.
Security
The security and integrity of your personal data is important to us and we implement a variety of security measures. However, no system can be 100% secure and despite our efforts, there is always a risk of unauthorized access to your personal data. By using Lookmark, you assume this risk.
Third-party links and content
Lookmark displays content from third-party app developers and publishers. These have their own independent privacy policies, and we have no responsibility or liability for their content or activities.
Children
We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children under the age of 13 and Lookmark does not target children under 13.
Changing and deleting information
At any time you can change your information or delete your account from within the Lookmark app.
